How It Works

RipX is a premiere CD ripping service. We convert your CD collection into a digital music collection. All your music all in one place... finally. Keep the songs. Put away the CDs.

The future is digital. Flow with it. We’ve made it super simple:

Place your order. Select how many CDs you want converted. Select the type and quality of digital music file you want. Select a storage device for your digital music: you can send in your own hard drive or MP3 player, have us burn it to DVDs, buy a hard drive or MP3 player from us, or get a loaner hard drive which you return after you download your music. Place your order.

We rip your CDs. After your order is placed, we’ll send you a postage-paid box along with packaging materials to ship your CDs (and hard drive or MP3 player, if applicable) to RipX. Load your CDs onto the spindles provided. Seal the box and call UPS for pick-up. Each CD is insured for $10. When we receive your package, we’ll rip your CDs to the storage device of choice.

Enjoy the new digital music collection. We return all your original CDs and your completely new digital music collection on a storage device. Instructions for downloading your digital music to your computer are provided. If you selected a loaner hard drive, simply download the digital music and return the hard drive in the postage-paid shipping box. You have two weeks to return the loaner hard drive. If you decide to keep the loaner hard drive, we’ll just bill you for the cost.
