Founded in 2005, RipX is a Tacoma, WA based Limited Liability Company. RipX provides music extraction and compression/ conversion services to businesses and consumers. Radio stations, hotels, restaurants, property management companies, DJs and those needing music on hold will all benefit from RipX services by leveraging their existing music collections. RipX provides CD data extraction and encoding services. Commonly known as "Ripping." RipX frees its customers from the tedious and time consuming task of handling each CD.
During the physical handling and extraction process, RipX will also convert music in to one of several common formats used by today's portable, computer, car and audio component players. During conversion, RipX also "tags" each audio track with the metadata related to the track such as track name, artist, album, genre, etc. After the extraction and conversion is complete, RipX returns your digital music on your choice of DVDs or Hard Drive in addition to your original CDs.
RipX recognizes that music and audio content is the intellectual property of artists and producers. RipX also recognizes that many consumers have invested in a sizable music collection over time, and now would like to enjoy the benefits of the digital music revolution. RipX offers an inexpensive means for consumers to rapidly load their new digital music devices with a large library of their own content. RipX believes that providing immediate access to one's existing content reduces the likelihood of illegal downloading and sharing of music.
